Aunt Kelsey!!!!

Kelsey is on her college winter break and she came to visit us for a week. She kept Madelyn home 3 days last week. We have had so much fun shopping, going out to eat, watching TV and just hanging out. She is going home tomorrow and we are really going to miss her. Madelyn loves her Aunt Kelsey and it brings a smile to my face to see them together. I am extremely close with Kelsey and have fond memories of her as a baby!

9 Month Pics

We finally had Madelyn's 9 month pictures taken (well almost 10 months) and it was a little stressful. She was shy and didn't want to do any smiling or sitting still. She crawled everywhere she wasn't suppose to and wanted to stand up on everything other then the props they wanted her to stand up on. She hated the outfit changes and didn't want any bows in her hair or shoes on. I am surprised there were any good shots but the photographer did a good job capturing her rare smiles :) Hopefully her 12 month photo shoot goes a little better!

Big Girl Car Seat

Today we installed the new car seats in our cars. Madelyn's infant seat was starting to be a little snug and her little feet were hanging off the bottom. We were very spoiled with being able to carry her everywhere in the infant car seat so this will be a big adjustment. Trish was a little sad when we did it because of how quickly Madelyn has grown up!

Pulling Up

Well, after watching cousin Lauren pull up on everything over the Holiday, Madelyn decided that maybe it was time that she started to work on this. Two days after returning home (Tuesday, Dec 29th) I came home from work and Madelyn pulled herself up on the foot stool. Over the next couple of days, she gradually got better and after a couple of times pulling the music table over on herself, she learned to push up with her feet, rather than pulling herself up with her arms. On Saturday January 2nd we went up to her room after her nap to find her standing up in bed letting us know she was ready to be up. It was amazing how quickly she picked up this new skill and within a few days she could pull up on anything and everything.

I have 2 front teeth :)

Madelyn has her two front teeth!!! We were shopping at Target a couple of Mondays ago (Dec 28th) when we noticed one of them had completely broke through and sometime shortly after that the second front tooth broke through as well. She has 2 more top teeth that are close to coming in. Madelyn has been a little cranky and drooling like crazy. We just can't believe she has 4 teeth now....what a big girl!

Happy New Year

Trish's Mom flew in the Sunday we came home from Arkansas to watch Madelyn for a week while our babysitter was on vacation. It was great to have her here and we really appreciate all the help. While she was here she babysat for us to go out on New Year's Eve. We had a great date night and it was so much fun to go out.
